Anja Searle PhD
Director of Neuroscience
As Director of Neuroscience, Anja uses her extensive experience in cognitive neuroscience research to design and optimise clinical studies. Since receiving her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, she has been looking for small, but meaningful effects of a wide range of interventions (from pharmacological and nutritional over fragrance to physiological and technological) in complex psychological and neuroimaging studies. She draws upon her creativity, technical and statistical knowledge and her passion for improving health and wellbeing to investigate these.
Over the last 15 years, Anja has conducted successful academic and clinical studies tracking wellbeing and cognitive performance in healthy populations and in patients with a variety of different peripheral and CNS disorders. She has set-up complex intervention studies, using an arsenal of screen-based tests and physiological markers, with a particular focus on their integration with neuroimaging and physiological measures.
She worked at the Universities of Oxford and Reading and held multiple research positions in industry before joining Cambridge Cognition in 2021.
